Navigating a breast cancer diagnosis can feel overwhelming. It can be a life changing experience that affects your physical, emotional, and psychological well-being.

No matter where you are in your cancer journey, you know firsthand that life has its ups and downs. Some days, you may feel optimistic regarding your diagnosis. On other days, it may seem like cancer is getting the best of you.

Being open and honest about your feelings can help you avoid the pressures of toxic positivity. But practicing positive self-affirmation can also help you take care of your mental health.

Maybe calling your cancer journey a “fight” doesn’t feel right. Words are powerful, and choosing your own words may help you shift your mindset.

The bottom line

Mantras can’t magically reverse your breast cancer diagnosis. But words are powerful, and claiming your mantra may help empower your mindset, whether you’ve just received your diagnosis or you’re living in remission.

Writing down your mantras, speaking them aloud, and carrying them with you may give you the emotional boost you need when you least expect it.

No matter where you are in your breast cancer journey, the Bezzy community understands and is here for you.
